Josef began his career in the automotive industry. His first significant role was with Wynnchurch Capital/Android Industries, where he served as Vice President of Global Operations from 2005 to 2007. Android Industries is a company that assembles, distributes, and sequences complex parts for automotive original equipment manufacturers.

In this role, Josef was responsible for managing the production and distribution of complex engineered modules for automated original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). He was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2007, a position he held until 2008. During this time, he focused on improving the company’s operations and ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Success at Oshkosh Corporation

After his time at Android Industries, Josef joined Oshkosh Corporation, a company known for designing and manufacturing specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies.
